Tom Miller from Christiansburg, Virginia, graduated from New River Community College with an Associates In Applied Science in Instrumentation Technology and Electrical Technology, and Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
Tom Miller earned his Instrumentation Technology skills from working at Hercules, in Radford Virginia. While working at Hercules, he was exposed to pneumatic and electronic instruments that dated from the 1960s to the present. He was responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating process instruments while following strict safety and quality guidelines.
While at Hercules Tom Miller was awarded Certificate Of Commendation for "Out-Standing Performance In Most Cases Above Required Standards" and a "Letter Of Appreciation, for his work efforts, stating his attitude, aptitude, and ability are marks of a quality performer".
Hercules taught him three important factors that he continues to apply today:

After moving to North Carolina, Tom Miller sharpened his expertise from Avid Solutions, Inc and Piedmont Automation, Inc. He also received his North Carolina State Board of Refrigeration Certificate for handling refrigerants.
